As a person who has always had a passion for educating children, I finally have the opportunity to combine my passion and my family. Until recently, I have spent many years working in education. I have a Master’s in Education and possess the following teaching certificates: Special Education, Family and Consumer Sciences, Elementary Education, and Early Childhood. I also am a registered Behavior Analyst and licensed ABA Therapist. During my career, I’ve worked for Grand Rapids Public Schools as a special education teacher, Kent ISD, and Montcalm ISD teaching in the classroom setting, equipping teachers to be successful, and, also, writing curriculum. Now I get to use my passion and knowledge educating my own children and helping create this community for families that want different for their own children. I want to build something that continues to grow the vison that I have for not only my children but for the future. I hope to continue offering creative and fun educational classes to reignite a child’s natural desire to learn.

I am beyond blessed to live in Rockford with my husband, Justin, and our three kids, Le-asia, Shaela, and Canaan. I have worked in early child education for over 15 years. Teaching littles is so rewarding! I am also a certified independent health coach, with Optavia. Showing the love of Christ by helping and serving people is my passion! I am honored to work along side this amazing group of woman at Faith and Freedom, who firmly believe in God, our families and our freedom!

I was raised in Montana and earned my BS in Nursing from Montana State University in 2005. After moving to Michigan, I worked in the nursing profession for 10 years in the areas of Orthopaedic Trauma, Adult Neuro Critical Care, and Outpatient Surgery before answering God’s call to leave my profession and become a stay-at-home-mom in 2015. With God’s guidance and provision, my husband and I have appreciated both the blessings and challenges of raising our 6 children. In 2021 we felt prompted to begin our homeschooling journey. I discovered that I love teaching, but more than anything, I love learning alongside our kids, while cultivating and appreciating each of their unique gifts and talents. With the help and mentorship of my peers and colleagues here at Faith and Freedom, I have been able to extend that opportunity to other children in our homeschool community. In my (very little) spare time, I enjoy sewing and crafting, and I intermittently tend to my small Etsy shop where my creations are featured. I also enjoy volunteering as a catechist at our parish, teaching a Montessori-style faith formation program called Catechesis of the Good Shepherd.
